Sansone Group has hired a director of acquisitions for its Southeast market, a new position for the Clayton-based real estate firm.

Pete Crane is tasked with sourcing acquisition deals for the company in its Southeast region. He’ll be based at Sansone Group’s Florida headquarters, the company said.

Crane has spent 13 years in real estate, most recently with Boca Raton, Florida-based Pebb Enterprises, where he managed the acquisitions and developments of shopping centers and suburban office buildings. Crane also has worked in brokerage and investment sales.

His appointment comes as the firm is targeting $115 million worth of acquisitions in 2019 in its Midwest and Southeast markets. In recent years, Sansone Group has made acquisitions more of a focus for the company. Sansone Group is targeting mixed-use, office, spec industrial and multifamily developments.

In addition to Crane, Mike Driver serves as Sansone Group’s director of business development in Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia and Kentucky, where he’s focused on brokerage, acquisition and development deals, the company said.

In March, Sansone Group partnered with Fortress Investment Group on its $23.6 million acquisition of a Class A industrial building in the Couchville area near Nashville, its first deal in the new market.
