Sansone Group Breaks Ground on Tampa Cold Storage Logistics, a New State-Of-The-Art Refrigerated Warehouse With Partners Mandich Group and BentallGreenOak

On Wednesday, May 16th, Sansone Group, Mandich Group, and BentallGreenOak proudly initiated the groundbreaking ceremony for Tampa Cold Storage Logistics—a cutting-edge refrigerated warehouse facility spanning 109,000 square feet. Set to transform the cold storage industry in the Southeast, this state-of-the-art facility presents an unparalleled opportunity for businesses in need of prime warehouse space.

Strategically situated near major highways and the port, Tampa Cold Storage Logistics will offer unrivaled transit times and supply chain solutions to customers throughout Florida and the Southeast region. With a scarcity of Class A space in the market, prospective tenants can secure an exceptionally advantageous position.

Recognizing the region’s tremendous growth potential, Karl Strauch, Vice President of Marketing at Port Tampa Bay shared, “Our Port is experiencing expansion across all business sectors, particularly to accommodate the influx of new residents in central Florida. With approximately 1,000 people relocating to Florida daily, our state easily ranks as the fastest-growing market in the US.”

Sansone Group, Mandich Group, and BentallGreenOak have joined forces in this venture, leveraging their extensive expertise in real estate investment, cold storage management, and construction build-outs. The construction of the facility will be executed by Tippmann Construction, renowned for delivering exceptional results in cold storage construction projects.

Highlighting the significance of bridging the gap in last-mile distribution, Michael Mandich, Managing Partner at Mandich Group, expressed, “Our vision is to provide small, medium, and large companies with the ability to efficiently distribute their products within a rapidly expanding market and throughout the state.”

“In the current real estate landscape, with soaring interest rates and a limited number of groups driving progress, we find ourselves in a challenging market. I take immense pride in our team’s ability to overcome these obstacles and achieve a development of this caliber,” shared Nick Sansone, Principal of Sansone Group. In his speech to groundbreaking attendees, Nick also expressed gratitude to all those involved in making this development a reality.

Leading the leasing efforts for this facility are The Food Properties Group’s Scott Delphey and Matthew Delphey, along with Cushman & Wakefield’s Lisa Ross and Trey Carswell.

Tampa Cold Storage Logistics presents an exceptional opportunity for food companies and businesses with perishable items to secure much-needed warehouse space, as the demand for cold storage in Florida and the Southeast region continues to grow. The project is expected to be completed in early 2024.
